His Eminence Raymond Cardinal Burke, D.D., J.C.D.

Cardinal Burke is Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura, the Catholic Church's highest court at the Vatican. Prior to his appointment to this post by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI in 2008, Cardinal Burke served as Archbishop of Saint Louis and Bishop of La Crosse, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Vatican's Congregation for Bishops, the Congregation for the Clergy and the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts, and is President of the Commission of Advocates to the Vatican courts.
