What's New
In celebration of World Youth Day, The Center published an article from the upcoming Fall 2008 Bulletin of Catholic Higher Education by His Emminence George Cardinal Pell entitled World Youth Day and Catholic University Students.

In May The Center for the Study of Catholic Higher Education released a timely follow-up to Pope Benedict's visit entitled
Reflections on Pope Benedict XVI's Address to Catholic Educators.

The Cardinal Newman Society's Center co-hosted a panel discussion with The Heritage Foundation on Academic Freedom in Catholic Higher Education the day after the Pope's address to Catholic college presidents. The entire video of the event is available here.

The Center released its first publication in mid April entitled
Pope Benedict XVI and Catholic Higher Education: Commentaries in Advance of the Holy Father's April 2008 Address to Catholic College Presidents.

The next report to be released by The Center in the coming weeks will be
The Past, Present and Future of the Catholic Core Curriculum,” by  Dr. R. E. Houser, Professor of Philosophy at the University of St. Thomas in Houston.
